Riso Induction Sessions

What to Expect

A 1 hour induction for one person (or a pair, you know, why not?!). We cover how the Riso machine works, explain print vs digital file prep, colour layers, then you get hands-on time on the machine and get to press nearly all the buttons.

You will leave with prints you made yourself, a much better feel for what the machine can do, and the option to book open-ish printing time with us later. No experience needed — just enthusiasm.

Sessions are at Swan Hill Studios, Shrewsbury. Inductions are £35, or £55 for two; we'll confirm the booking via email, and you can pay on the day, cash or card.

What do you need to bring?

Technically, you don't need to bring anything, we have pens, paper, stuff to cut out and so on here, we've even used leaves from the Quarry park.

But if you have illustrations, sketches, photos you want to try it with, bring them along; the printer is A3 so bigger is better. Or we can do digital, be prepared to do some USB/AirDropping the files to our Riso laptop.

You will end up with a stack of A3 print, normally around 20, but we've had people head off with anywhere from 5 to 40ish. We do have some A3 envelopes here, but be prepared to head off with more than you arrived with.
